Delhi Public School
About School
In 1998, when Dinesh Chand Kothari's long-held vision of bringing a quality institution to Jodhpur finally took shape - backed by D.R. Mehta, the then Chairman of SEBI, and guided by the Delhi Public School Society - Delhi Public School Jodhpur opened its doors to the children of the Blue City. What began with 280 students has grown, over more than two decades, into one of the most recognized CBSE schools in Jodhpur, currently enrolling approximately 5,000 students with a staff of 250 members. The school is promoted by the Shugan Chandra Kothari Trust and operates as a co-educational, English-medium institution under the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi.
Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education and a member of the National Progressive School's Conference (NPSC) and the School Innovation Council (SIC), DPS Jodhpur offers classes from Nursery through Class 12 with an academic year beginning in April. The school's pedagogy blends value-based learning with technology integration, placing emphasis on logical reasoning, creativity, and a communicative approach to language across all levels. Admission preference is given to age-eligible candidates and siblings of existing students, with registration available through the school's official website.
Set on a sprawling 15-acre solar-powered campus, the school is organized across four meticulously designed blocks, each serving a distinct age group. The primary block includes an EVS lab, infirmary, well-stocked library, art room, computer lab, open theatre, music and dance rooms, a storytelling arena, and a splash pool. The middle block houses an amphitheatre seating 200 students, science labs, music and dance rooms, and a dedicated library. Science labs — covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Mathematics — are built for inquiry-based learning. A student of DPS Jodhpur, Kumar Ayush, won the Silver Medal at the 7th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics held in Volos, Greece in 2013, marking one of the school's standout international achievements. The school also offers separate residential blocks for boys and girls, with a two-storeyed air-conditioned dining hall and supervised hostel care.
Admissions for the 2026-27 session are open, and the school provides transport facilities covering routes across Jodhpur. The campus is located at Pal Gaon, Jodhpur, Rajasthan - PIN 342001. Parents can register for inquiry or access the e-prospectus through the official website at dpsjodhpur.in, or reach the school directly for hostel and day-scholar admission queries. The motto of DPS Jodhpur - Service Before Self - continues to define the ethos of every programme and activity on campus.
