Established on 12th August 1986 in a unique collaboration between Indian Oil Corporation's Mathura Refinery and the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi, Delhi Public School MR Nagar carries a founding story unlike most schools in the Braj region. The Indian Oil Corporation invited DPS Society to set up this branch specifically to serve the educational needs of its employees' families - and over four decades, the school has grown well beyond its original mandate, now also serving families from villages surrounding the Mathura Refinery that historically had limited access to quality schooling.
