Located in Sector 5 of Rourkela in Sundargarh district, Odisha, Deepika English Medium School traces its roots to 1976, when it was started by the women of Deepika Mahila Sanghati under founder principal V.N.N. Paniker. What began as a primary section grew into a full three-storey senior secondary campus by 1991, and the school's infrastructure has long been supported by Rourkela Steel Plant.
